Well, being home feels really great. Hughesville boys beat Loyalsock for the District 4 title and are moving on to states. The only thing that I don't like is that I came home at a bad time of year where everything is dead from winter, but its still beautiful.

The Way Home

Mid-terms over...well..for now. After catching a bus and the subway, I am currently sitting in Port Authority Bus Terminal right now, just missed the 1:45 bus so now waiting on the 2:30. Looking forward to being home, but its going to be delayed for awhile. Guess thats how it goes when the subway is delayed, but it happens. Not a whole lot exciting going on, I saw a homeless guy spit on the floor in the subway car, wish I wouldn't have, but hey... now I know to watch where I step.

I'll give another shoutout to the Spartan basketball team, who are playing for a District title on Saturday against Loyalsock. Better play together...I finally get to see a game. Much rather watch a team who plays as one than St. Johns, gotta say. Anyways, home here I come.

Okay, lets break this down. What I want to know is how does "accidental masturbation" occur at all? How does that happen? Then were getting statistical and saying it happens exactly 95% more with sweatpants. I want to know how someone came up with that number, because according to that, my roomate should be one big ball of embarrassing accidental masturbation because I don't think he owns pants other than sweat pants. Could "accidental" include sleepwalking? Sometimes I wear sweat pants to bed and I sleep walk. So I don't want people waking up to me in a very strange accidental situation..idk..strange fact of the day..95%

Elevator

After a long day of strenuous exams and lecture I walked back to Hollis (the dorm), swiped in, and headed towards the elevator. I waited for a minute or two. When the elevator doors opened me and a girl got on. I pushed the 5 buttonm, she pushed the 6. The doors closed and the elevator began climbing. Somewhere along the ride I zoned out and was thinking about who knows what. Well, the elevator stopped and the doors opened, I looked at the digital thing on the inside of the elevator and it said 2 with an arrow pointing down. I was seriously confused, but the first thing that came to mind was some lazy slob pushed the button on the second floor and was going to ride it to the 3rd or 4th. When the doors first opened I looked out, no one there. I looked back at the girl who was riding with me, and kind of motioned like "what the hell is going on". She looked even more confused and said, "You pushed 5..." I began to sweat, and looked at the sign outside of the elevator...we were on the 5th floor. O embarassment...

If this doesn't make you giggle in your boots a little bit, then I don't know what will. Yes I said it, giggle in your boots. But really, picture to represent my actions as of right. Sitting watching some good basketball, if you call good basketball #1 Syracuse beating up on St. Johns. St. Johns please, please guard someone! Well, you win some you lose some.

I'll give a shoutout to my highschool Alma Mater. The spartans beat South Williamsport tonight, now they get the winner of Sock and Lewisburg, that game will be Saturday.

Spring break is almost here, thank God. Classes have been rough lately, just alot of mid terms and papers due. Plus, I can't wait to have some home cooked meals for a week. I know "the girls" (Juno & Rhea) will be happy to see me. They both just got new haircuts.

Philosophy

To start off Philosophy isn't really my thing. When I see something, for the most part thats as far as it goes. I don't ask why its a certain color or what state of being it is in. Going into the PA field I'm sure I'm going to have to be able to know what Socrates views were on sophists. Yep, thats exactly what I'm going to have to know.

Going further with the matter, I must say that I cannot stand the philosophy majors in that class. Its entirely too easy to spot them because they are the ones answering all the questions and are in a deep state of pondering 99% of the time they are awake. This one kid in class, wow, the teacher will ask a question and his hand will shoot up...and its like "here we go". Then he rubs his chin and motions with his hands as he spits out terms that havent been used since the invention of water. I can't help but think "how the hell do you get through the day?". Seriously, they must stop and think about everything. A car passes them on the sidewalk and instantly they go into deep thought about if the car was actually there or if their minds wanted the car to be there so it just existed in some parallel universe. Amazing. Well somehow I got out of the Philosophy exam with a B+ so I'll take it.

March is HERE ~Bubble and Syracuse~

Favorite month of the year is here. Look, I'm rhyming I'm so happy. March is not only the month of my birthday/St. Pattys Day (17th), but more importantly it is the month of madness. If you don't know what March Madness is then you are simply not American. The best College basketball teams squares off in a 64 team bracket. The last one left standing is crowned national champ. Blah blah blah...now on to the good stuff. The biggest subject leading up to the tourney is the talk about "the bubble" or the teams fighting to make the big dance. This year some bubble teams include Notre Dame, Virginia tech, and Miss State. These teams have a chance to make it but they must do well in their conference tournaments.

Other news in college hoops: Syracuse tops the rankings with their impressive win over #8 Villanova. Andy Rautin's leadership is keeping the team running smoothly while PG Scoop Jardine is giving them a strong lift coming off the bench. Many analysts say this is the best 2-3 zone coach Jim Boeheim has had in the past 20 years. Quite a compliment given the 02-03 National Champs ran the same 2-3. Syracuse is my pick to be the last team standing as of right now. The Big East conference tourney might sway my decision but it is highly unlikely.

Theology Exam

Just got back from my Theology exam. First of all we need to go over what a nice guy my proff is. Basically he is the kind of teacher you look at and just know that he is going to be a complete pushover. After taking that test I'm amazed that a priest could write an exam that is that tough. I still think I did alright on it, but still. On the brightside, one less midterm I have to worry about.

Anyone who doesn't go to St. Johns you are probably thinking: a website made by someone with bad grammer skills. We all wonder why there is no "at" after the "you", one of the many mysteries about the site, don't look too much into it. Anyways, this site is basically a stalker site. If you see someone anywhere on campus you can say "I saw you at Montgoris (dining hall) and you were wearing such and such. I really want to talk to you". The entire thing is completely anonymous. Apparently the girls on campus at St. John's have extremely low self esteem because anything ever written by a girl ends with "I wish I had the confidence to talk to you". Pathetic, however very humorous to read. The site is a cool idea and is getting alot of attention from people on campus so if you want to check it out, some posts are pretty interesting. I'll leave you with a nice sample:

Mario Baseball

For some reason I find cartoon characters playing baseball to be fairly funny, but add in some crazy roomates and the situation becomes histerical. Today, Tyler was playing Devin. Tyler's first time playing, coupled with picking all the worst players, needless to say he was at a severe disadvantage. Between not knowing the buttons and Devin kicking his ass, the obscene gestures began to fly. I will leave it at that just in case some young eyes are viewing. Anyways, every hit was followed by trash talking and stand up comedian Dan made witty comments from the side line as he does best. It turned out to be a close game, but Tyler's starting pitcher Birdo got tired and Devin prevailed. This is what a boring weekend has come to...
